About me

Hi, I’m Claire and, I have to confess, I am a bit of a behaviour geek. I love training animals and would love to help you get your training goals on track.

I have always been an animal lover, but my passion for added reinforcement and studying behaviour really kicked off in 2012 when my partner and I got a small pet parrot. I love the enthusiasm that my animals show for not only learning tricks, but for things like hoof or nail trims, taking oral medications, coming when called, going to their cage or paddock… the list goes on. We live on acreage with a small flock of sheep, ponies, parrots, guinea pigs, miniature pigs, chickens and guineafowl.

I have been extending my knowledge and practical skills since 2013, first by attending the Parrot Society of Australia conferences and workshops and from their my thirst for knowledge grew. I co-founded the Sunshine Coast Companion Parrot Group, which hosted talks from both local and international trainers via live webinars.

I am an accredited professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers Australia and an Equine Training Professional Member of the Pet Professionals Guild Australia.
